Ochsner Baptist Brings Back Internal Medicine Care Uptown Campus Continues Growing Services; Three Local Physicians Return NEW ORLEANS - Along with its recently opened full-service ER, Ochsner Baptist has brought Internal Medicine services back to the uptown campus and three physicians have returned to their pre-Katrina service area. Drs. Karen Blessey, Robert Miles and Margaret Pelitere will now see patients at their new clinic in the McFarland Building, 4429 Clara Street, Suite 500. Welcome to the neighborhood! The newly opened Ochsner Internal Medicine Clinic offers patients preventive healthcare as well as comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and management of various diseases and disorders, all in uptown's backyard. "We're excited to continue expanding medical services for the community," says Robert Wolterman, Chief Executive Officer at Ochsner Baptist. Wolterman adds, "Current campus services include six operating rooms, two cardiac catheterization suites and endoscopy suites, an Outpatient Imaging Center, a Laser Vision Center, and over 300 community physicians." Also, on Monday, January 12, Ochsner opened a full-service community Emergency Room, expanded 12-bed ICU and an all-private room 43-bed Clara Hospital Wing. To date, Ochsner has invested over $30 million to revitalize the Ochsner Baptist campus. "This facility has deep roots in the New Orleans community and we're committed to making it a thriving resource for the city's future," says Wolterman.
