Ochsner and Junior League of New Orleans Supply 18 Computers to S.J. Green Charter Elementary School
NEW ORLEANS - As Ochsner Baptist Medical Center, 2700 Napoleon Ave., continues to revitalize its uptown campus, it's reaching out to the community it serves. Ochsner Baptist has joined with the Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO) to donate 18 refurbished computers from its Katrina-damaged facility to Samuel J. Green Charter Elementary School in Uptown New Orleans. Ochsner supplied the computer hardware and JLNO donated the software for all 18 computers, allowing the project to come full circle.
The first of the DELL computers will be installed at Green Charter Elementary the first week of September 2007, while the remaining computers are slated to be set up with the opening of the student library projected for December 2007; another project in which Ochsner is lending a hand.
