Modern Healthcare Magazine Includes Dr. Patrick Quinlan alongside National Leaders
NEW ORLEANS, LA - Ochsner Health System announced today that its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Patrick Quinlan, M.D., has been named to the list of 100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare magazine. This honor places Dr. Quinlan in the ranks alongside such names as President George W. Bush, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Senators Barak Obama and Ted Kennedy. This is Modern Healthcare magazine's 6th annual ranking and it hits newsstands today.
Readers of Modern Healthcare selected Dr. Patrick Quinlan to this year's 95th spot on the magazine's annual ranking. Earlier this year, in April 2008, Dr. Quinlan was chosen #7 Most Powerful Physician Executive by Modern Physician magazine, a sister publication to Modern Healthcare.
"Over the past three years, Dr. Quinlan has been closely involved with our nation's top leaders to build awareness of New Orleans and the Gulf South's critical healthcare situation and to create solutions to the challenges we continue to face three years after Katrina," explains Warner Thomas, COO and President of Ochsner Health System.
