In September 2013 Ochsner signed an interim management agreement with Hancock Medical. In February 2014 the agreement was formalized and extended for two years. Hancock Medical Board of Trustees President J. Larry Ladner said Hancock County’s hospital is in great hands under Ochsner’s leadership and with the recent additions of its new CEO Thomas K. Steiner and now CFO Tom Ramsey.

“This relationship will ensure continued high quality services and affordable healthcare for residents of Hancock County and surrounding communities, as well as provide specialty services between Hancock Medical and Ochsner that have not been available at Hancock Medical in the recent past,” said Ladner.  “We are excited about our hospital’s future and we appreciate being able to add CFO Tom Ramsey to the team.”
