PRAIRIEVILLE – Just in time for the cold and flu season, Ochsner Baton Rouge will being offering urgent care services on November 12th at its Prairieville location. The Ochsner Health Center – Prairieville Urgent Care Clinic, located at 16220 Airline Highway, will be open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Friday.
“Our Urgent Care locations are ideal for people needing to see a healthcare provider immediately for conditions such as orthopedic injuries or upper/lower respiratory infections,” says Rubin Patel, MD – Ochsner Baton Rouge’s Urgent Care Director. “These clinics offer an alternative to an emergency room visit which is traditionally reserved for serious, life-threatening medical emergencies or their primary care physician who may not be available to see them the same day.”
The Ochsner Health Center – Prairieville Urgent Care Clinic is fully equipped with on-site laboratory and imaging services. In addition, patients will not need to make an appointment to see an urgent care provider.
The 10,200 square feet Ochsner Health Center – Prairieville opened in March 2010. Five Ochsner physicians and one physician’s assistant offer internal medicine, family medicine and pediatric services. In addition, Ochsner specialists offer cardiology and gastroenterology services throughout the month.
In addition to the Urgent Care Clinic in Prairieville, Ochsner also provides urgent care services at Ochsner Health Center on Summa Avenue in Baton Rouge from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays.
