NEW ORLEANS – Ochsner Health System has re-opened clinic services in New Orleans East. The new clinic, called the Ochsner Heart & Vascular Health Center – New Orleans East, offers consultative cardiology services by Dr. Patrick Breaux, Section Head, Consultative Cardiology, and Dr. Gary Rich, FACC.
“We're excited to bring cardiology services back to the residents of New Orleans East and the surrounding communities,” said Todd J. Mule, Assistant Vice President, Cardiovascular Services, Ochsner Medical Center. “It is an indication of our commitment to bring consultative cardiovascular clinic services closer to home for our patients living in New Orleans East, St. Bernard, and the surrounding area. We had a robust presence in New Orleans East prior to Hurricane Katrina and are excited to see the re-development and re-population taking place.”
Dr. Breaux received his medical degree from the Tulane School of Medicine. He completed an Internship, Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Charity Hospital, Tulane Division. Dr. Breaux specializes in consultative cardiology and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. He is listed as a Top Doctor in cardiovascular diseases in New Orleans Magazine and Louisiana Life Magazine.
Dr. Rich earned his medical degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Rich is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine - Cardiovascular Disease.
Drs. Breaux and Rich are available for appointments on Wednesday afternoons from 1-5 pm. New patients are welcomed.
