NEW ORLEANS, LA Strong relief programs during and after Hurricane Katrina, a healthy workplace atmosphere, and easy accessibility to healthcare combine to make Ochsner Health System the #1, large business, Best Place to Work in New Orleans according to CityBusiness newspaper.
This year, CityBusiness selected 20 honorees in the large business category and 20 honorees in the small business category for its annual Best Place to Work event. Companies were judged in categories including salary, benefits, vacation time, bonus perks, and in-house professional development and training programs.
Were honored to have received CityBusiness‘ vote as the #1 Best Place to Work for the second year in a row, said Joan Mollohan, Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Were proud that our workplace environment and culture has been recognized for its unique employee programs and development strategies from the top down.

CityBusiness recognized top companies with a luncheon awards ceremony at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown New Orleans. Rankings were compiled after CityBusiness reviewed company applications and compiled an employee morale index score, which included a measurement of how well companies helped employees in dealing with Katrina.
