NEW ORLEANS - After an extensive national search, Ochsner Health System has filled the Chief Executive Officer roles at its North Shore and West Bank hospitals. Travis Capers, MHA, has accepted the position of CEO at Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank Campus and Polly Davenport, MBA, RN has accepted the position of CEO at Ochsner Medical Center - North Shore. Both are effective in February.
Travis Capers - CEO, Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank Campus
Capers has served in a number of leadership roles, including most recently as Chief Operating Officer of HCA-Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to that, he served as Director of Surgical Services at The University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center in Chicago and Director of Planning and Development at Eau Claire Cooperative Health Center in South Carolina. Capers received his Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree at The University of South Carolina.

Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank Campus is a 181-bed, acute care hospital with more than 300 board certified or board eligible physicians. The hospital received the HealthGrades Emergency Medicine Excellence AwardTM in 2010.
Polly Davenport - CEO, Ochsner Medical Center - North Shore
Davenport was most recently the CEO of Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, Texas under Methodist Healthcare System/HCA. Prior to that, she served as Chief Nurse Executive and Vice President of Quality for Methodist Health System/HCA. Davenport received her Master's Degree at Our Lady of the Lake University and her Bachelor's of Nursing Degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center.

Ochsner Medical Center - North Shore is a 165-bed, acute-care hospital offering a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour ER, women's and children's services and stroke and cardiology care. The hospital became the eighth medical center in the Ochsner Health System last spring.
