Ochsner Medical Center’s orthopedic surgery department's services include spine, oncology, sports medicine, joint replacement, pediatric and elbow, hand, and foot and ankle surgery. Surgeons at the hospital performed more than 2,980 orthopedic surgeries in 2010 alone. Fellowship-trained sports medicine physicians perform arthroscopic surgery and provide coverage for the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Hornets and New Orleans Voodoo arena football team.
Ochsner Medical Center’s orthopedics program was also recently ranked in the top 50 “Best Hospitals” in the country by U.S. News & World Report for the second year.
