As part of its continued effort to help moms-to-be and siblings of newborns, Ochsner Health System is offering various classes at its main campus. The following is a list of classes scheduled for June, 2011:
Prenatal Classes
All classes will be held on the main campus of Ochsner Medical Center, 1514 Jefferson Highway. The prenatal classes will be in Monroe Hall, which is located on the 1st floor of the hospital near the Southport Cafeteria.
Classes are from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Family and friends are welcomed to join mom for the classes. A special tour of specific units will be given at the end of each class.
Tuesday, June 7th – Delivery 1
Tuesday, June 14th – Delivery 2
Tuesday, June 21st – Post Partum & Baby Safety
Tuesday, June 28th – Newborn Care
All the classes are free to Ochsner patients. Registration is required.
Breastfeeding Class
Ochsner will host class in June on the topic of breastfeeding. A family member is encouraged to attend with the mom-to-be.
Monday, June 6th
7:00 p.m.
Location: Ochsner Medical Center, 1514 Jefferson Highway, Monroe Hall, which is located on the 1st floor of Ochsner Medical Center near the Southport Cafeteria.
The class is free of charge to Ochsner patients. Registration is required.
Sibling Class
Introducing a newborn into the family where there are already children can be a challenge. That’s why Ochsner has developed a new Sibling Class called “I’m going to have a baby brother or sister!” Learn helpful tips on how to introduce a new sibling into the family.
Ochsner will host one sibling class in June on:
Sunday, June 12th
4:30 p.m.
Location: Ochsner Medical Center, Winter Gardens, located on the 3rd floor of Ochsner Medical Center
1514 Jefferson Highway
The class is free of charge to Ochsner patients. Registration is required.
