Covington, LA – Ochsner North Shore’s Golden Opportunity Program has released the March calendar of events for the North Shore region.

Coffee with Christie - Covington
Wednesday, March 6
10:00 am – 11:00 am
Ochsner Health Center – Covington (1000 Ochsner Boulevard, 2nd floor training room)
A representative from Ochsner Home Health will discuss fall prevention while members enjoy their morning coffee.
Food bank and Mardi Gras bead donations will be accepted.

Ochsner Medical Center – North Shore in Slidell, (100 Medical Center Drive in Slidell, Camellia Room)
Enjoy your morning cup of coffee and learn fall prevention tips from an Ochsner Home Health representative.

The Buddy Holly Story
Thursday, March 7
5:30 pm – Dinner at Tope La Restaurant in Hammond.
7:30 pm – Performance by the Jefferson Performing  Arts Society, Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts, Hammond
Meet at Tope La Restaurant in Hammond for dinner before enjoying the show.
Cost is $33 per person and includes the performance ticket.  Dinner cost is additional and will be paid at the restaurant.

11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Ochsner Medical Center – North Shore in Slidell (100 Medical Center Drive, Camellia Room)
Ochsner Neurologist Dr. Thomas Gann will discuss common neurological disorders including risk factors, symptoms and treatment options.
Free event.

Festival of Flowers Bus Trip to Mobile
Thursday and Friday, March 21 and 22
Depart Ochsner Health Center-Covington at 8:00 am with pick up at Ochsner Medical Center-Northshore in Slidell at 8:30 am.
This overnight trip includes stops in Fairhope and Point Clear, Alabama.  Members will enjoy a tour and lunch at Bellingrath Gardens, Festival of Flowers exhibit admission, dinner at Wentzel’s, overnight accommodations and breakfast at the Grand Marriott in Point Clear and shopping in Fairhope.
Cost is $225 per person for double occupancy and $330 per person for single occupancy.  Trip limit is 50.
