SLIDELL – Beginning February 18th several Ochsner North Shore specialists will now provide services in one convenient location in Slidell. The new Ochsner Specialty Health Center – Slidell is located at 1850 Gause Blvd. E. near Ochsner Medical Center – North Shore. The following specialties will now be located in the facility:
• Cardiology – Suite 202
• Colon and Rectal Surgery – Suite 101
• Gastroenterology – Suite 202
• General Surgery – Suite 202
• Neurology – Suite 101
• Neurosurgery – Suite 101
• Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation – Suite 101
• Psychiatry – Suite 101
• Obstetrics and Gynecology – Suite 202
• Urology – Suite 101
“This location provides our patients with easy access to a range of specialties all in one location in close proximity to the hospital as well as radiology, laboratory and a variety of Ochsner services,” said Polly Davenport FACHE, Ochsner North Shore CEO. “Having a team of physicians available under one roof eliminates the need for a patient to travel to multiple locations for their care.”
In addition, Ochsner North Shore’s new electronic medical record means all Ochsner physicians can easily access a patient’s medical information thus eliminating the need to bring paper records from one physician’s office to the next and ensuring that every member of the medical team has the same information. Through the region’s MyOchsner online patient portal, patients can also make appointments and communicate with their healthcare team through a secure website.
