Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital Offering Free Class to Help Smokers Quit

RACELAND –  With recent studies showing that smokers who quit can add years back to their life, now is the time to finally quit!  Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital will present the American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking® program beginning with the first class on Monday, February 18th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Ochsner St. Anne Meeting Room 1. 

The entire eight week program is FREE and designed to help smokers successfully quit.  Topics included in the program include:
• Medicines that can help you stop smoking
• Lifestyle changes that make quitting easier
• Preparing for Quit Day
• Managing stress
• Avoiding weight gain
• Developing a new self-image
• Staying smoke-free for good
