Students work hand-in-hand with Scientists and Physicians
NEW ORLEANS - Now in its 4th year, the Ochsner Academic Division's STAR Program is accepting applications for its popular, high school science program featuring actual, hands-on research in a laboratory with medical scientists. This highly successful program has led to over 70% of participating students continuing their studies in medicine-related college programs; so Ochsner is putting the word out early to get students interested in the 2010 STAR program.
The STAR program (Science, Technology, Academics and Research) is a free, educational summer camp specifically for high schools students in Jefferson, Orleans, St. Tammany, Plaquemines, St. Charles, St. Bernard, and St. John the Baptist parishes.
