RACELAND –  According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), diabetes impacts nearly 26 million Americans.  These impacts are tremendous with diabetes contributing to a range of serious health complications such as kidney failure, amputations, heart disease, stroke and even death.

Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital will host a FREE Diabetes Education Seminar on Wednesday, November 14th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm in St. Anne meeting room 1 to provide residents the information they need to make healthier lifestyle choices to prevent or manage the disease.  Topics to be discussed include:
• Living with Diabetes the Cajun Way
Angelique Torres, DNP, ANP-C

• Eat What You Love and Love What You Eat
Karen Keiser, RD, LDN

• Putting it All Together
Mae Hitt, RN, CDE

• Understanding Diabetes Effects of the Eye
Monique Robinson, MBA
