Ochsner Cardiologist Answers This and More at Hello Health Seminar
BATON ROUGE – Congestive heart failure, a condition in which the heart no longer functions effectively to meet the body’s needs, impacts thousands of adults. Ochsner Cardiologist Doug Mendoza, MD will discuss this common condition at the next Hello Health seminar on Tuesday, March 5th at noon at Mansur’s on the Boulevard. Cost to attend the lunch is $18 per person and includes lunch.
Dr. Mendoza will also discuss the symptoms of congestive heart failure which include:
• Shortness of breath
• Coughing or wheezing
• Swelling in the feet, ankles, legs or abdomen
• Fatigue
• Loss of appetite
• Confusion
• Rapid heart rate
