Ochsner Medical Center-Kenner Hosts On-Campus Event

KENNER, LA - With Mardi Gras over, its time to seriously consider getting into shape in 2008. However, before starting any exercise program, you need to know your current health state and consult with a physician. Two Kenner health care providers, , Ochsner Medical Center - Kenner and The St. Charles Health Center, are joining forces to offer free, community health screenings to get residents on their way to a healthier lifestyle.

Free health screenings will take place Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center-Kenner at 200 W. Esplanade Ave., Medical Office Building - 1st floor, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.  The community event is open to the public. The free health screenings and options will include:

  • Blood Pressure Screening
  • Glucose Screening & Diabetes Education
  • Cholesterol Screening
  • Foot Screening
  • Speech/Occupational/Physical Therapy
  • Orthopedic Joint Pain Education
  • Breast Self Exam Education
  • OB/Prenatal Education
  • Elmwood Fitness Center exercise options
