William S Richardson, MD
Section Head, General Surgery; Director, Laparoscopic Surgery
Dr. Richardson earned his medical degree from Harvard University and completed his internship, residency and surgical research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He completed his fellowship in laparoscopic surgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Richardson is board certified in surgery and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1997. His expertise includes laparoscopic, minimally invasive surgeries and bariatric surgery. He has a special research interest in laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery.
James B. Wooldridge, Jr., MD
Dr. Wooldridge earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed his internship and residency at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. He completed his fellowship in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Wooldridge is board certified in general surgery and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2009. His expertise includes laparoscopic, minimally invasive surgeries and bariatric surgery. He has a special interest in laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery.
Jennifer Buquoi, RN, BSN, CNOR
Jennifer Buquoi is a native of New Orleans. She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Nursing where she earned a Baccalaureate of Science degree in Nursing. She began her nursing career at Ochsner in the operating room where she was first introduced to bariatric surgery. In 2005, she decided to expand her knowledge of bariatrics and moved in to the clinical setting. Jennifer is currently a Clinical Care Coordinator with the Surgical Weight Loss Program at Ochsner.
Amber Weydert, PA-C
Amber Weydert is a native of New Orleans, who earned her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in physician assistant studies and a Master of Medical Sciences from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ms. Plaisance is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistant. She is a member of the AAPA (American Academy of Physician Assistants) and LAPA (Louisiana Academy of the Physician Assistants.)
DeAnna Tillery, RN, BSN
DeAnna Tillery graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross College where she earned a Baccalaureate of Science degree in Nursing. Originally a native of New Orleans, DeAnna began her nursing career in Boston at the Massachusettes Eye and Ear Infirmary. She moved back to New Orleans with her husband and has been employed at Ochsner since 2003. She is currently a Clinical Care Coordinator with The Surgical Weight Loss Program at Ochsner.
Monique Litolff

Monique Litolff is a graduate of the University of New Orleans and has a Bachelor of General Studies Degree and a minor in Sociology. Monique began her career in the Admit Office as a Registration Coordinator and worked her way up to more specialized areas such as Transplant and now Bariatric Surgery. Monique has been employed at Ochsner since 2002 and joined the Bariatric team in March 2009.

Louis Jeansomme, IV, MD

Dr. Louis Jeansonne earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University, New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed a surgical residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Laparoscopic fellowship at Emory University. Dr. Jeansonne is Board Certified in Surgery and has been on staff at Ochsner since August 2008. His special interests include laparoscopic hernia repair, laparoscopic colectomy, laparoscopic fundoplication, transoral incisionless fundoplication, robotic surgery and bariatric surgery.
