Hemochromatosis : About

When a patient is afflicted with hemochromatosis, the body will store and absorb abnormal amounts of iron. This is why hemochromatosis is also called iron overload disease. When the concentration of iron in the body gets high, it will be stored in the various organ systems including the liver.
