Ochsner hospital medicine physicians, or Hospitalists, are highly qualified physicians who are in charge of your care once you have been admitted to the hospital. These inpatient physicians are specialists in internal medicine. During your hospital stay, they work with your primary physician to coordinate your treatment and recovery plan.
The advantage to you and your primary care physician is that these Ochsner-based hospital physicians are available to supervise your care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
