This allows for closer supervision, easier patient access to a physician, complete coordination with your primary physician and more personalized care. This service has been carefully designed to enhance patient care and increase your access to hospitalists who can:
- Answer your questions concerning treatment.
- Monitor your progress in the hospital.
- Consult with additional specialists as needed.
- Order all necessary tests, medications and treatments.
- Provide medical updates to your family members and your primary care physician.
- Arrange for your discharge from the hospital.
- Provide instructions for at-home care, medication and follow-up visits.
- Provide a detailed summary of your hospital care to your primary physician, who will then resume your care once you leave the hospital.
