What is Ideal Protein?
Ideal Protein is a 4-phase medically designed and professionally supervised muscle-sparing weight loss protocol. The average person has a weight loss of 3-7 lbs per week. The Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method stabilizes the pancreas and blood sugar levels while burning fat. The ideal protein protocol has a beginning and end thus assisting clients’ transition to a healthy lifestyle plan for weight management.

Can anyone participate? 
Yes, but some health conditions can restrict participation or may require consent from your health care provider. Please complete and submit a health profile, consent to participate, coach contract and medical information release forms prior to your first appointment by either mail, fax or email. This will be used to determine if you are a candidate. 

What does this program offer me? 
Medically trained support throughout the program, 3 appointments with a Registered Dietitian,  or Nurse Practitioner, weekly appointments with our Ideal Protein coach, weight loss support groups, 3 free 30 minute personal training sessions and discounted membership to the YMCA, recognition of milestones towards your weight lost goal, and a weight management plan at the completion of the program. You are given the option to purchase items individually to give you more variety verses having to purchase them in boxes.

How do I participate in this program?
Call 225-761-5586 and ask to speak to an Ideal Protein Coach who will coordinate an appointment to attend a free informational seminar or New Patient Appointment. Please complete and submit a health profileconsent to participatecoach contract and medical information release forms prior to your first appointment by either mail, fax or email.

Length of Program

How long is the program?
The number weeks you are in the program are based on your weight loss goal. Below shows how many weeks you would be in each phase.

Phase I:  

  • Female: # lbs/3 = # of weeks in phase I
  • Male: #lbs/5 = # of weeks in phase I

Phase II: 2 weeks

Phase III: 2 weeks 

How much will it cost me? 
You can expect to pay an estimate of $370 at your first appointment which will include all of your weekly visits, BMI scans for 3 months, shaker, vitamins, salt, and 1 week of food items. After week one, you will need to continue to purchase food items which are sold at $4/item or $5/ready made drink. The cost of food will be determined by the number of weeks you are in the program.

Phase I: you can expect to purchase 21 items/week

Phase II: you can expect to purchase 14 items/week

Phase III: you can expect to purchase 7 items/week

Phase IV: you can purchase items as needed

Does insurance cover this?
No, this program is not covered by insurance plans. 

What if I want to just buy the food items?

    Once joining the program, our weight loss coach who you would meet with weekly, offers early morning, lunch time, and late afternoon appointments for your convenience.

Enrollment Forms:

Health Profile - Assists in determining a client's health status, program qualifications and custom weight loss plan.

Consent Form - Informed Consent for participation in Ideal Protein Protocol.

Coach Contract - Agreement of program expectations to support your success.

Medical Release and Release of Medical Information - Allows us to obtain medical records and labs from your health care provider, which supports your safety and coordination of medical care. Allows your primary physician to authorize your use of Ideal Protein Protocol. 

Weekly Forms:

Meal Journal  - Submit two days prior to your weekly appointment to allow Ideal Protein coach to customize your weight loss plan and offer support.

Order Form – Submit two days prior to your weekly appointment to allow Ideal Protein coach to prepare requested items for efficient processing at your clinic visit.
