Flu Vaccine Update
At Ochsner, we're committed to the health of our patients. It is our priority to ensure access to the flu vaccine to help prevent the spread of the seasonal flu as our supply allows.
While the seasonal flu vaccine is usually given each year in October and November, we received an influx in requests for the flu vaccine in September. Due to increased interest and media coverage of the seasonal flu, vaccines will be offered at an earlier time.
Ochsner plans to continue to give seasonal flu vaccinations as shipments of the vaccine arrive. We expect to have all shipments of the vaccine by mid-November.
