Patients are referred to the Ochsner Multi-Organ Transplant Center from more than 37 states in the United States and 10 foreign countries. Ochsner offers a wide range of auxiliary services, including interpreters to ensure that all of our patients and their families receive the highest standard of care. This care is responsive to each patient’s clinical, cultural and spiritual needs. We coordinate care with the a patient’s doctors at home prior to arriving at Ochsner, and continue long after transplant.
The following services are provided for our international and other out-of-town patients:
Brent House Hotel After transplantation, all patients are followed closely at Ochsner. We take pride in creating an environment that supports the needs of our patients and their families. Levee Run Apartments Long-term care of each patient is a collaborative effort between the Ochsner team and referring physician. Affordable, apartment style accommodations are also available for out-of-area patients and their families during early post-transplant care. Each apartment is furnished, has a full kitchen, and is located within walking distance of the hospital.

The International Health Services department at Ochsner Health System also provides additional services to patients from out of the country including interpreters and translators.
