Ocular Oncology : About

Image Caption

Ocular oncology deals with the treatment of cancerous conditions of the eye and surrounding tissues. Cancers may involve the eyelids, the orbit (i.e. the tissues around and behind the eyeball) and the eye itself. Cancers involving the orbit are rare. There are many types that involve the soft tissues surrounding the eye. Cancers of the adult eye are uncommon, but the type most frequently seen is choroidal melanoma.
