Sports Medicine is a subspecialty of Orthopedic Surgery that deals with the care of sports-related injuries. Specifically, it involves the diagnosis and treatment of bone, ligament and tendon injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. The Sports Medicine physicians also perform total joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery.
