Patient Promise

The mission of the General Pediatric Practice is to focus on the diagnosis and treatment of children from birth to 18 years of age. The department’s physicians are specially trained to solve complex diagnostic problems and manage chronic illnesses. History

Ochsner’s group of nearly 30 general pediatricians and their staff are committed to preserving the health and well being of our pediatric patients, as well as those of the community in which they reside. Ochsner prides itself on the caring relationships established with each patient and their families. Ochsner also has the ability to help parents manage their children's' health through prevention, education and management of childhood diseases. As your child's physician and advocate, the pediatrician manages his or her health care needs. In addition to providing preventative services, Ochsner pediatricians specialize in diagnosing and treating childhood diseases and disorders such as ear infections, behavioral problems, asthma, headaches, stomach problems, rashes, heart problems and "just growing up.”
