Ochnser’s Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Optometry specializes in the compassionate and competent care of our tiniest patients from birth, all the way through to age 18.

Dr. H. Sprague Eustis, the Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology, is a nationally renowned Pediatric and Adult Strabismic Surgeon.  He provides care for pediatric patients with acute and chronic eye diseases and disorders.
Dr. Kefla Brown, the Director of Pediatric Optometry, performs routine eye exams, diagnoses and treats acute and chronic eye diseases and disorders of the eye, including strabismus (eye turns) and Amblyopia (“lazy eye”). Additionally, she performs contact lens fittings, including specialty contact lenses for conditions such as kerataconus and other corneal disorders.  She also provides care for those with special needs, and participates in the American Optometric Association’s InfantSee program.

Both Dr. Eustis and Dr. Brown work closely with Ochsner and community pediatricians and pediatric specialists to provide complete and seamless care to our pediatric population.
