Base of Tongue Radiofrequency
Base of tongue reduction utilizes radiofrequency technology to reduce and stiffen the base of tongue, which is often a source of snoring.
This procedure is performed in the office under local anesthesia and results can become evident over the course of 4-6 weeks. In certain cases, repeat treatments are required for full effect.
Is this procedure right for me?
If your in office examination reveals a tongue that vibrates against the back of your throat during snoring endoscopy, creating a harsh snoring sound, you are a candidate for this procedure.
I have an active gag reflex. Will this prevent me from getting this procedure?
Many people have an active gag reflex. After adequate local anesthesia, we can most often decrease your gag reflex and perform this procedure.
