Ochsner Sports Medicine is committed to providing quality sports medicine to the local community in a number of ways. We provide coverage to local area colleges, high schools and middle schools. We do this by providing athletic trainer coverage either on a one-one-one basis, with one trainer per school, or for special events such as LaCrosse Tournament, Adidas Basketball Camp, TUC Tennis Tournament, and cheerleading championships. We also conduct community education programs such as the 2008 Jefferson Parish Public School Health Seminar, along with coaching clinics and student athletic trainer workshops.
We currently provide athletic training coverage for 6 local colleges and universities, 25 local area high schools and 14 middle schools.
