Hornets Assistant Coach Prepares to Take Tiny Triplets Home After 3 Months in NICU
Though his team didnít make it to the NBA Finals this year, New Orleans Hornets first year assistant coach Bryan Gates has much to celebrate. At one week shy of their actual due date, Bryan and Robin Gatesís infant triplets are strong enough to leave the hospital and move home.
Daughter Kendall and sons William and Preston were born 13 weeks early and have spent three months in Ochsner Medical Center's NICU. At birth, the babies weighed between 1 pound, 14 ounces and 2 pounds, 2 ounces. Thanks to a caring team of doctors and nurses led by neonatologist Harley Ginsberg, M.D., the babies are all hovering around a robust 5 pounds or more.
Hear more from Coach Gates and his wife as they take home their three tiny infants.
