Academics and Research Careers

Education

From its inception, Ochsner has been a leader in education, providing unparalleled hands-on clinical training in its clinics and hospitals for residents, medical students, nurses, and allied health professionals. Continuing Ochsner’s 70+-year education legacy today are the departments of Graduate Medical Education and Undergraduate Medical Education in which staff members provide exemplary customer service, coordinate complex logistics, and maintain a continuous focus on innovation and improvement. Training our future caregivers is one of the most valuable contributions we can make to the development of our next generation of medical leaders. In addition, the Education Team includes three departments focused on supporting and enhancing scholarly activity at Ochsner: Publishing Services, the Medical Library and Archives, and Medical Illustration.
