Abdulhameed Al-Sabban, MD

Dr. Al-Sabban is an advanced and bariatric endoscopist and also serves as medical director of Advanced Endoscopy at Baton Rouge. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Georgetown University in Washington DC, followed by a fellowship in Therapeutic and Advanced Endoscopy at Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington DC. Dr. Al-Sabbans expertise is in procedures such as endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, enteral stent placement, endoscopic submucosal dissection and endoscopic mucosal resection and endoscopic full thickness resection. He also performs procedures including endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG), which is a non-surgical alternative to weight loss surgery that reduces the volume of the stomach and helps with weight loss, as well as endoscopic transoral outlet reduction (TORe), a non-surgical procedure for anyone who has undergone a gastric bypass and seeks further weight loss. In his spare time he enjoys cycling and illustrating.
