Dr. Alan Velander received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He completed an Internship with New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center located in New York City, New York. He also completed a Neurology focused Residency and a Neurocritical Care focused Fellowship with New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is board certified in Neurology and Neurocritical Care by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Velander’s special areas of interest include consciousness, hypothermia, logistics of transfers, and neurology medical education.
