Casey Almonte, MD, is a radiologist at the Ochsner Medical Center. Dr. Almonte received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2010. He completed his internal medicine internship with Louisiana State University at the Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge and his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida. He completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Almonte is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. He has been on staff at Ochsner since 2018 and has been practicing medicine since 2010. Dr. Almonte performs cutting-edge, minimally invasive surgical procedures throughout the body, including cancer treatments, preventing and stopping bleeding, clearing blood clots and treating fibroids, among many other procedures. Dr. Almonte says, "I chose this profession with the hopes of helping the people in my community and making a meaningful change in the world. As a lifelong resident of New Orleans, I hope to one day give as much back to my community as I have received."
