Cinnamon Davis is a New Orleans native. She received her undergraduate nursing degree from William Carey University – New Orleans campus (Hattiesburg, MS); Master of Science in Family Health Nursing from Southern University and A&M College (Baton Rouge, LA); and Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner Certification in Family Psychiatric Mental Health at McNeese State University (Lake Charles, LA). She practiced as a Registered Nurse for 4 years and a Family Nurse Practitioner for 6 years in various medical settings prior to becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Cinnamon completed her preceptorship at Ochsner Medical Center (in child and adolescent psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, acute psychiatry and psychotherapy) Seaside Behavioral Health and River Place Behavioral Health (both for inpatient psychiatry). She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2016.
Cinnamon is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the U.S. Navy Reserves Nurse Corps. Cinnamon believes in providing a patient-centered, holistic approach to mental health with the goal of helping her patients experience an overall better quality of life. She is a devoted mother and enjoys both traveling and spending time with her loved ones during her free time.
