Daniela Iacona-Carbonella, PA-C

Daniela has been a certified Physician Assistant for 17 years. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Daniela earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Education from Wagner College located in Staten Island, NY. She began her career in a primary care setting working for an Internist and a Cardiologist. She then spent the majority of her career gaining experience in the Emergency Department of a level 1 Trauma Center in NYC. In addition, she has experience in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Urgent Care, and Pediatrics. Most recently, Daniela gained administrative level experience as the lead Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department of a rural hospital in upstate NY. All the while, she remained in academics as a didactic professor in the Physician Assistant program at her alma mater, as well as a clinical instructor in the Physician Assistant Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital. Along with their children, Daniela and her husband relocated to New Orleans, LA for him to pursue a career as an Interventional Radiologist.
