Denrick Cooper, MD, is an emergency medicine physician at Ochsner Health. He earned his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Princeton University in New Jersey. He went on to receive a medical degree from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Cooper completed his residency in emergency medicine at Mount Sinai West Hospital in New York City. He then completed his fellowship in international emergency medicine at the same hospital while earning a master's in public health at Columbia University. Dr. Cooper is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. His interests lie in health disparities and building emergency medicine capacity abroad.
