Hamang Patel, MD

Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplantation

Dr. Patel graduated Magna Cum Laude and was selected to Phi Beta Kappa at Duke University before earning his medical degree from the University of Maryland. Following graduation, he stayed at UM to complete his internship and residency. He completed a Cardiology fellowship at the University of South Florida and a heart failure/cardiac transplant fellowship at Lifelink Transplant Institute. Dr. Patel specializes in Cardiology and his areas of special interest include heart failure and cardiac transplantation. He has been on staff at Ochsner since 2005 and practices at the Ochsner Medical Center on Jefferson Highway in New Orleans. Dr. Patel is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and is UNOS Cardiac Transplant Certified. Dr. Patel is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and can be reached at 504-842-4135.
