Jake Kleinmahon, MD

Dr. Jake Kleinmahon joined the faculty at Ochsner Hospital for Children in July of 2018. He will serve as the Medical Director of Ochsner’s Pediatric Heart Transplant, Heart Failure, and Ventricular Assist Device Programs. Dr. Kleinmahon trained in Pediatrics at Tulane University Hospital and Ochsner Hospital for Children before completing fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Heart Transplant and Heart Failure at Children’s Hospital Colorado. While in Colorado, he was awarded Colorado Chapter of the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association Doctor of the Year for 2017. He is active in the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, presenting at their international annual conference for the last three years. He is also active within the Pediatric Heart Transplant Study community. His interests include taking care of children with heart transplants as well as children with cardiomyopathies. Dr. Kleinmahon is excited to bring his expertise to the region and return to New Orleans with his family.
