Mr. Risey earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi, in Oxford, Ms and earned his Master of Communication Disorders degree in 1980 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA. He completed his Clinical Fellowship Year at Tulane Speech and Hearing Center in New Orleans. Mr. Risey is certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and has been on staff at Ochsner since July 2007. Mr. Risey's special clinical interests include dizziness and tinnitus evaluations, non-medical management of tinnitus and clinical research. He currently practices at the main campus of Ochsner Medical Center in the Otolaryngology Clinic. In his spare time he enjoys teaching both audiology doctoral candidates, otolaryngology residents, and playing the trombone (jazz & classical).
