Dr. Jonathan Bonilla earned a medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. He then completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Ochsner Medical Center.

Dr. Bonilla went on to complete an interventional cardiology fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and is board certified in cardiology.

I felt the Dr could have gone over my test results a little more in depth than he did..I understand he referred me to a surgeon and I guess he will go over the test results more thoroughly than Dr Bonilla did. Things just seemed to be off the day of my visit. It was totally different from my first visit with him. It was as if he was rushed to get through the visit.

He is the best

Dr. Bonilla listened to all my concerns. Was compassionate and caring and gave me valuable information for my cardiac health.

I would highly recommend Dr. Bonilla. He is extremely thorough. He is very personable and genuine. He answers any questions that you have in a manner that is easy to understand. The staff in his office are personable and genuine as well. They do not leave you waiting for long and if there is any delay they are very apologetic about it. I did not feel rushed in my appointment and felt that I had the complete attention of the doctor.
