Leise Knoepp, MD, MPH, is a urogynecologist with Ochsner Health. Dr. Knoepp offers medical, behavioral and surgical treatment options for women with pelvic floor disorders. She believes every patient should take an active part in the management of their care. Dr. Knoepp is experienced in a variety of traditional and minimally invasive treatment options and works with each patient to determine the best plan of care. She is also dedicated to improving her field through teaching and continued research efforts. A native of Louisiana, Dr. Knoepp received her medical degree at Louisiana State Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Prior to that, she completed her master's degree in public health from Emory Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta. As an obstetrics and gynecology resident at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Knoepp served as chief resident and was recognized for teaching fellow residents. She recently completed a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (urogynecology) at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, in Baltimore, where she received competitive national research grants and was honored as best fellow teacher by her peers. She is a member of the the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Urogynecologic Society. She is a Surgical Review Corporation-accredited Surgeon of Excellence in Continence Care for Women at Ochsner Baptist.
