Dr. Mohammad A. Yousef earned a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from the University of Texas at Arlington with emphasis in psychology, genetics, and chemistry. He went on to receive a Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation and went on complete an additional year of training as Cheif Medical Resident in the Internal Medicine Department. He is a lecturer for the University of Queensland. His medical interests are in Internal Medicine, Nutrition, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Digestive Diseases. His clinical activity focuses on providing excellent care in Hospital Medicine and the Internal Medicine Clinic at main campus and providing continued support and education in the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Yousef's care philosophy focuses on treating the patient rather than the disease process by working with patients to educate and encourage them to be involved in all aspects and decisions of their care.
