Dr. Patrice Tyson received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 2001. She went on to complete her internship and residency at LSU Health Sciences Center with the Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA. She also completed her fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at the Children's Hospital.

Dr. Tyson is board certified by American Board of Pediatrics- Pediatric Gastroenterology. She has been practicing medicine since 2001 and on staff at Ochsner since December 2019. Dr. Tyson performs esophasgastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, esophageal dilatation, polypcetomies, Ph/Impedance and pill camera endoscopy. She has a special clinical interest in general gastroenterology. Dr. Tyson enjoys traveling and movies of all genres in her free time.
