Rachael Sood, NP, practices endocrinology at Ochsner Health. Mrs. Sood received her bachelors of science in nursing in 2006, followed by her advanced practice registered nursing degree in 2011 from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. She is board-certified in adult health by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and her focus is in diabetes care in adults. Additionally, she is certified as a diabetes educator through the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. Rachael is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, enjoys teaching, public speaking and advocating for the advancement of the nursing profession. Her clinical interests include preventative healthcare and increasing access to care in the state of Louisiana. She has been a nurse for 18 years, and she has been on staff at Ochsner since May 2020.
