Rajan Patel, MD

Dr. Rajan Patel earned his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Yale University School of Medicine and his general cardiology, advanced cardiac imaging, and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Virginia. Dr. Patel completed endovascular/peripheral interventional fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center.

Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He specializes in complex coronary and chronic total occlusion interventions as well as peripheral interventions, brachytherapy, and mechanical circulatory support.

Dr. Patel thank you so very much for all of your hard work. When others wrote me off to do open case you stood tall, confident and placed stent after stent when most would have said that's the best others (surgeons) send me to ICU and pray for the best. I owe you and the man upstairs my life!!!!!

My husband has been a patient at Ochsner Main Campus since 2002. He has many health issues and sees specialists in numerous fields. They have kept him alive and reasonably healthy well past “his expiration date”, as we refer to it. Dr Patel and Nurse Becky are great.

I have always found Dr Patel to be very interested in me as a patient…he has saved my heart, and has always been attentive to my health concerns as well as explaining in simple terms the working of the whole complicated cardiac system. I would give him more than 5 stars if only there were more of them.
