Dr. Richard Milani earned his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville before completing his internal medicine internship and residency and a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Florida. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Ochsner after a two-year clinical and research fellowship in preventive medicine and clinical epidemiology at Harvard School of Medicine and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Milani is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1991. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and specializes in preventive cardiology and non-invasive imaging. His expertise includes echocardiography, preventive cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, lipidology, and population medicine. He regularly publishes his research findings and has written numerous articles and book chapters for scientific medical publications.
