Dr. Butler received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, graduating AOA. He then completed a General Surgery Internship followed by an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Tulane. During his residency Dr. Butler completed an additional year of training as a Research Fellow in Adult Reconstructive Surgery, for which he won the Stenchfield Award from the Hip Society in 2010. After residency Dr. Butler returned to his home town of Starkville, MS where is has been practicing until now. In 2019, he started at to Ochsner with 13 years of clinical Orthopedics experience.
Dr. Butler’s Orthopedic Surgical interests include artificial joint replacement of the hip/knee/shoulder, arthroscopy of the hip/knee/shoulder, orthopedic trauma, foot and ankle, hand surgery, and general orthopedics.
Dr. Butler practices at the Ochsner Neuroscience Institute Slidell.
