Sara Galli, MD

Dr. Sara Galli received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, where she graduated with highest honors. She graduated summa cum laude with a medical degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Following medical school, she completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Galli completed her fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her experience with OrthoCarolina has prepared her to treat the breadth of foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Galli has a particular interest in Charcot neuroarthropathy and the deformity it causes. She has training in surgical techniques aimed at limb salvage, and believes in a patient-centered discussion of treatment options. In addition, she specializes in ankle replacements, tendon disorders of the foot and ankle, foot and ankle sports injuries including Achilles tendon rupture and instability, ankle arthroscopy (ankle scopes), Achilles disorders, bunions, hammertoes, and all foot and ankle trauma (fractures).Dr. Galli is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association, and the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society.

Dr. Galli is the best doctor I have ever had ! She truly takes her time with every patient and answers any questions you may have . If I ever had a question come up I could send her a message and she always got back to me . I had surgery and it was the best experience I ever had ! After so many years of suffering with pain I finally have no pain and I'm able to walk on my left foot again , all from the wonderful care of Dr. Galli ! I would truly recommend her to anybody !

The team there from point of entering the bldg. We're so friendly and helpful. The wait time barely game Me time to sit down in lobby they're on the ball there. Then Dr Galli entered and was really the best Dr of my life, so willing to let me speak and fully explained EVERYTHING ! She is so easy to communicate with and speaks in terms anyone can understand. I was with her approx an hour , and because of her I left totally understanding and at peace with what I learned. She did in that hour what others couldn't do in 7 office visits. She and her crew are awesome. Go see her if you ever have feet pain and problems, wish I had known the past year or so.

I was recommended to Dr Galli by doctor who did my initial ankle replacement (in 2007) Dr Galli gave me very good info to help in deciding whether a replacement replacement was a good choice

Undeniably a fabulous surgeon. She listens, never made me feel rushed. After 2 years of barely able 2 walk. Not only can I walk w/o pain I was able 2 dance, 6 months after a total ankle replacement. She's my Shero.

Dr. Sara Galli is super nice, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She found things my previous ortho missed regarding my ankle and is coming up with a plan to get things fix and get me out of pain. Super flexible with scheduling, even allowed my follow-up appointment to discuss the next steps of my plan of care to be a phone appointment since I lived a few hours away from her office. I couldn't ask for a better ankle specialist!

I was very impressed by my visit to Dr. Galli. She was both professional and personable. I did not feel part of a rushed assembly line; she spent time with me and answered all of my questions.
